Learnings in Life

One young man went to apply for a managerial position in a big company. He passed the initial interview, and now would meet the director for the final interview.

... The director discovered from his CV that the youth's academic achievement...s were excellent. He asked, "Did you obtain any scholarships in school?" the youth answered "no".

" Was it your father who paid for your school fees?"

"My father passed away when I was one year old, it was my mother who paid for my school fees.” he replied.

" Where did your mother work?"

"My mother worked as clothes cleaner.”

The director requested the youth to show his hands. The youth showed a pair of hands that were smooth and perfect.

" Have you ever helped your mother wash the clothes before?"

"Never, my mother always wanted me to study and read more books. Besides, my mother can wash clothes faster than me.

The director said, "I have a request. When you go home today, go and clean your mother's hands, and then see me tomorrow morning.

The youth felt that his chance of landing the job was high. When he went back home, he asked his mother to let him clean her hands. His mother felt strange, happy but with mixed feelings, she showed her hands to her son.

The youth cleaned his mother's hands slowly. His tear fell as he did that. It was the first time he noticed that his mother's hands were so wrinkled, and there were so many bruises in her hands. Some bruises were so painful that his mother winced when he touched it.

This was the first time the youth realized that it was this pair of hands that washed the clothes everyday to enable him to pay the school fees. The bruises in the mother's hands were the price that the mother had to pay for his education, his school activities and his future.

After cleaning his mother hands, the youth quietly washed all the remaining clothes for his mother.

That night, mother and son talked for a very long time.

Next morning, the youth went to the director's office.

The Director noticed the tears in the youth's eyes, when he asked: "Can you tell me what have you done and learned yesterday in your house?"

The youth answered," I cleaned my mother's hand, and also finished cleaning all the remaining clothes'

“I know now what appreciation is. Without my mother, I would not be who I am today. By helping my mother, only now do I realize how difficult and tough it is to get something done on your own. And I have come to appreciate the importance and value of helping one’s family.

The director said, "This is what I am looking for in a manager. I want to recruit a person who can appreciate the help of others, a person who knows the sufferings of others to get things done, and a person who would not put money as his only goal in life.”

“You are hired.”

This young person worked very hard, and received the respect of his subordinates. Every employee worked diligently and worked as a team. The company's performance improved tremendously.

A child, who has been protected and habitually given whatever he wanted, would develop an "entitlement mentality" and would always put himself first. He would be ignorant of his parent's efforts. When he starts work, he assumes that every person must listen to him, and when he becomes a manager, he would never know the sufferings of his employees and would always blame others. For this kind of people, who may be good academically, they may be successful for a while, but eventually they would not feel a sense of achievement. They will grumble and be full of hatred and fight for more. If we are this kind of protective parents, are we really showing love or are we destroying our children instead?

You can let your child live in a big house, eat a good meal, learn piano, watch on a big screen TV. But when you are cutting grass, please let them experience it. After a meal, let them wash their plates and bowls together with their brothers and sisters. It is not because you do not have money to hire a maid, but it is because you want to love them in a right way. You want them to understand, no matter how rich their parents are, one day their hair will grow gray, same as the mother of that young person. The most important thing is your child learns how to appreciate the effort and experience the difficulty and learns the ability to work with others to get things done.

Try to forward this story to as many as possible...this may change somebody's fate.

Eustress and Distress

This is nice para sa mga overworked !

O, bakit ka na naman na-i-istress? Did you wake up on the wrong side of the bed?

It's important to understand stress before we can effectively manage it

Eustress and Distress.

Eustress is positive stress.

when they are doing their exercises.

Kapag hindi sila nagpahinga, the stressed muscles will be injured.

When injury happens, yan ang distress .

Distress is the negative side of stress.

Famous author and inspirational speaker,

Dr. John Maxwell has the following suggestions:

Don't be overly sensitive to criticism .

So when you receive criticisms , take it constructively kung sensible ang criticism.

If you think the criticism is not objective , huwag na lang pansinin at ng hindi ka ma-distress .

Don't take too much pride in your achievements .

Minsan nga our achievements hinder us from growing and learning

Don't harbor jealousy over the achievement of others .

Instead of being jealous or envious ,

let's learn to rejoice! in the successes of others.

Don't focus on your weaknesses and inadequacies .

Ang sugat kapag mas lalo mong ginalaw mas lalong lalala at baka maimpeksyon.

The more you focus on your weaknesses and inadequacies

the bigger the tendency of wallowing in self-pity ..

While it is important to acknowledge your inadequacies,

it is helpful to focus on your strengths and capabilities .

One effective way of fighting distress is by counting our blessings - the good things which life brings.

When we have grateful hearts,

we will always be reminded that we are too blessed to be stressed!

Someone wrote that

" The shortest distance between a problem and a solution is the distance between your knees and the floor.

The one who kneels to the Lord can stand up to anything ..

My Honey, My Love, So Sweet...

Two hands to hold onto forever,
Two arms to be embraced by eternally,
Two eyes to gaze into for always,
Two lips to kiss so passionately.
Two souls fused by commitment,
Two names written in the stars above,
Two lives intertwined by God,
Two hearts joined by the purest of love.

From this day forward
You shall not walk alone
My heart will be your shelter
And my arms will be your home

With warmest wishes
for the best in life
as you both look forward
to a shared future
of love, friendship,
and the wonderful closeness
that is marriage.

Love is patient, Love is kind,
It does not envy, it does not boast,
It is not proud, it is not rude,
It is not self-seeking,
It is not easily angered,
It keeps no record of wrongs.

Happy Christian New Year to all the members of Church of God International

~To all the members of the Church of God,I am tremendously delighted to greet you all a happy Christian New Year!~
Let us explore first on the different beliefs of many people regarding the celebration of New Year….
Catholics, and lots of people who believes that the New Year is every January 1 including the Chinese communities and Muslims who practices their new year respectively are not only the one who deserves to celebrate the New Year, but most especially the true Christian who really knows the true essence and meaning of it.
New Year is an event that is universally celebrated by many people around the world.Their celebrations signify the welcoming of a fresh stock of new days, a new beginning, new desires and new things.
Fireworks, misa de gallo, media noche, 12 kinds of rounded fruits as their food partake in a feast or banquet, and many others are the traditions every New Year day for Catholics and many professing christian in many countries especially in the Philippines.
While dragon dance, wearing red clothes, decorating poems on red paper, giving a children “lucky money” in red envelopes, fireworks that shower the festivities, tikoy or sticky rice cake, are from the Chinese communities.
About the Muslims and Islams likewise, the way they celebrate New Year’s Day is different from other New Year’s Day celebrations. They gather in mosques and offer special prayers and listen to special readings from the Koran. An important part of the prayer service is the narration of the Hegira or the flight of Prophet Muhammad from Mecca to Medina. Muslims are supposed to reflect on their lives, the manner in which they are leading their lives and about their own mortality. The day is spent in prayer and on reflecting on how one is leading one’s life. There are no celebrations that normally most of the people associate with New Year’s Day.The New Year is known as ‘Maal Hijra’ among the Muslims. Of late, a number of Muslims have taken to sending greeting cards to each other on their New Year’s Day.
But the most distinct is the way how to celebrate it by the true Christian.. As a member of our Church which is the Church of God, (and I proudly say we are the true Christian),are also celebrating New Year. Our celebration is far different from any other religions, we concentrated most in worshiping God by means of singing praises to Him, ardent praying, giving thanks, and listening to His words through the preaching of bro.Eli Soriano and bro. Daniel Razon.. We follows the Hebrew calendar because it was the one observed by the Lord Jesus Christ, Bro. Eli teached us that it is the same calendar that the Israelites used, as commanded by God in Exodus 12:2. (14) days after  the celebration of the New Year, we are going to commemorate also the Lord’s Supper because it is the observance and practice of the Israelites during their times. Being the followers of our Lord Christ, of course we have to follow also what He did and  His beliefs.
We did not welcoming the New Year through fireworks, dragon dance, 12 rounded fruits, etc.as what others legendary exploits in New Year.
But as far as I remember, Every eve of January 31st before, but not exactly12 midnight,(in which the sign of new year of many has came)we also making some fireworks display in the streets not because we believe that by lighting of it bad spirit will go away..We did this just for fun.. But a  hasty time pass by,doing fireworks display every January 31st will not linger on,instead bro. Eli taught us the verse in the bible:
II CORINTHIANS 6:14-18
 14. Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?
 15. And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?
 16. And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
 17. Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you.
18.  And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.
Because of this verse,we are no longer observing on any kinds of what are many people are practicing. We are all getting away in all men which activities are with religious color.
As what I comprehend to our preachers, for me the meaning of New Year is merely Jesus Christ..When I received the holy baptism and the Holy Spirit in our church, the New Year begins in me,in my life,in my being, and also the sign of the new chapter of my life. From sinful life to the life with Jesus is very peaceful and exquisite. We can always expect His cautiousness and  riddance.
The New Year of many people are hugely different to the New Year of the bible..
It all started when the Israelites are in bondage of the Egyptians,Moises drawn them out of enslavement.
Exodus 12:1-14
1. And the LORD spoke unto Moses and Aaron in the land of Egypt, saying,
2.This month shall be unto you the beginning of months: it shall be the first month of the year to you.
3. Speak ye unto all the congregation of Israel, saying, In the tenth day of this month they shall take to them every man a lamb, according to the house of their fathers, a lamb for a house:
 4. And if the household be too little for the lamb, let him and his neighbor next unto his house take it according to the number of the souls; every man according to his eating shall make your count for the lamb.
5. Your lamb shall be without blemish, a male of the first year: ye shall take it out from the sheep, or from the goats:
 6. And ye shall keep it up until the fourteenth day of the same month: and the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel shall kill it in the evening.
7. And they shall take of the blood, and strike it on the two side posts and on the upper door post of the houses, wherein they shall eat it
 8. And they shall eat the flesh in that night, roast with fire, and unleavened bread; and with bitter herbs they shall eat it.
 9. Eat not of it raw, nor sodden at all with water, but roast with fire; his head with his legs, and with the purtenance thereof.
10. And ye shall let nothing of it remain until the morning; and that which remaineth of it until the morning ye shall burn with fire.
 11. And thus shall ye eat it; with your loins girded, your shoes on your feet, and your staff in your hand; and ye shall eat it in haste: it is the LORD’s passover.
 12. For I will pass through the land of Egypt this night, and will smite all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgment: I am the LORD.
 13. And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where ye are: and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt.
14. And this day shall be unto you for a memorial; and ye shall keep it a feast to the LORD throughout your generations; ye shall keep it a feast by an ordinance forever.
As the Israelite getting rid out of enslavement in the Egypt was the start of the New Year to their lives.
Their history is comparable to the sinful man like me,being slave by wrong doings but when I’ve met the Lord Jesus Christ, all are straightened out.
Then the New Year start working in me and hoping until to the rest of my life…

newyr011

Once again, Happy happy Christian New Year to all the brethren of Church of God…Let me be the one to greet you first, for our New Year will fall on March 11, Monday and for sure we will be having a semi-thanksgiving in the afternoon, and apart of it is the preaching of our (2) beloved leaders ,bro. Eli and bro. Daniel
To God be the glory forever!!

About Me

Characteristic:
~A typical,shy and religious lady~
I feel small, worthless  and insignificant in this world and already acknowledge the fact that without God,I am simply nothing..But not to admit that I am useless..
I am scare of height, but abundant of energy and I believe that I can stand out over the crowd.
You may look at me as a simple and quiet lady but behind my simple smile hides a funny and bubbly personality, who always thought of what the people say against me will destroy my personality. As I made my journey and walk through the streets of trials, I learned to appreciate every challenges which just make me a better person.
Many people played a vital role in my life, without them, I cannot move on with life, aside from God, they are also the source of my strength every time darkness starts to engulf my whole being. To name a few of them, there is Bro.Eli Soriano and Bro.Daniel Razon, our preacher who enlightened me,my young mind to serve God and teached me to follow God’s commandment. There is my mother who loves and guides me since I was in my infant years up to present in my adult year, and her strength is now gradually reconfiguring.Last but not the least,of course, there is my husband a God fearing man,who loves me unconditionally..
I have proven that no matter how complex life may appear, God has an answer for our needs. I discover the true essence of life. I’ve known to live with everything and in almost nothing, I have learned the secret of contentment. My life is full of hope, from the day I was born, from the time I have only my unwary mind, when life begins to operate me and the world I was in.

Biography:
The humble & worthless servant of the Lord, remains steadfast in my faith. Amidst of all hardships,& trials,my unwavering commitment and dedication to my faith,Church and God is undeniable. I had been offering my strength, time, and love for 27 yrs now, for the glory of my Creator,
I was born on October 9, 1968, out of five siblings,I am the only girl and the youngest..
Studied and graduated at Far Eastern University,Recto Manila with AB Masscommunication degree.
When i was 17 yrs old, through my eldest brother Romy Adora whom was then the 1st member in the church in our family, I have known & watched Bro.Eli Soriano, preaching the words of God, awakened an interest in my young mind to read the Bible. Unknowingly, this began a new chapter in my life.
In less than a year, after a rigid reading the bible, searching, & attending worship services,I was baptized in San Marcos Calumpit Bulacan on July 4,1986,and become an official member of the Church of God in Christ Jesus.
With passionate zeal to serve the Lord in my heart, I joined the ministerial class way back 1994,though I was so shy then but with the help of the ALMIGHTY GOD, I turned out to be a worker or preacher of Christ. As an epitome of dedication, sincerity, and devotion, I exemplified what Apostle Paul wrote to Timothy: “Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity” (I Tim. 4:12, KJV).
